Mrs. Renu Vohra

Chairperson

Mrs. Renu Vohra, a dedicated leader, currently serves as the Chairperson of Alzheimer's & Related Disorders Society of India - National Office. Her extensive commitment to the cause spans over two decades.

As the Secretary General of the ARDSI New Delhi Chapter, Mrs. Vohra brings a wealth of experience to the organization. Her invaluable insights, derived from her role as a former caregiver, are instrumental in addressing Helpline calls, contributing to Day Care Operations, conducting Home Visits for Counseling, and actively participating in training sessions where she delivers lectures.

Mrs. Vohra is also a driving force behind the organization of World Alzheimer's Day events hosted by the Delhi Chapter. Moreover, she played a pivotal role in assisting the National Office in anchoring and hosting the Asia Pacific Conference of ADI by coordinating on-ground arrangements.


Mr. Thomas Cherian

Treasurer

Mr. Thomas Cherian has been serving as Treasurer since 2012 and was re-elected unopposed for the term 2022-25. He brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role.

As a seasoned business professional involved in a family business, Mr. Cherian also represents several charitable organizations dedicated to the well-being of children and the elderly. His upbringing in a family of civil servants instilled in him valuable financial management skills, particularly in overseeing philanthropic operations.

Mr. Cherian possesses exceptional liaison and coordination skills, actively contributing to the supervision of care centers in Cochin, Thrissur, and Kozhikode. He plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Kerala State Initiative on Dementia-KSID project, supported by a dedicated team of staff.

In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Mr. Cherian, along with his family members, is deeply committed to the cause and frequently engages in firsthand care for dementia patients at ARDSI centers, reflecting their firm dedication to the mission.


Meera Pattabiraman

President Emeritus

With an enduring commitment spanning over twenty-five years, Ms. Meera Pattabiraman is a distinguished figure within ARDSI. In her role as President Emeritus, she embodies multifaceted leadership.

Ms. Pattabiraman's interests extend to conducting comprehensive training programs and advocating at both state and central government levels. Her remarkable achievements include spearheading the groundbreaking Kerala State Initiative on Dementia (KSID), the first-ever state-private partnership for dementia care, diagnosis, training, and awareness in India.

She has left an indelible mark as one of the authors of the Dementia India Report in 2010. Her leadership was pivotal in the creation and presentation of the Dementia India Strategy report to Mr. J P Nadda, the Minister of Health in 2018, and later to Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan in 2020.
